T cell migration in vivo has fascinated scientists for 60 years. T cell kinetics are important for understanding the immune response to infectious agents. More recently, adoptive T cell therapy has emerged as the most promising approach to treat a wide range of diseases, including autoimmune diseases and cancer, with characterization of cell kinetics representing an important step toward predicting therapeutic efficacy.
